Submissions & Guidelines
We are currently OPEN to submissions
Podcast Alchemy is one of the fastest growing independent podcast production companies in the world, with currently over 40,000 downloads a month across our network. We are looking to expand our network by adapting existing unpublished but complete television series into the audio drama format. We are a podcast production company, and you retain all video, film, print, foreign-language and other non-audio rights to your work.
If you are looking to create an IP foundation to help sell your TV series or pilot to Hollywood, we are an ideal partner.
We are currently looking for fantasy or science fiction or adjacent genres (horror, scifi thriller, etc.). We accept humor, as long as it is within the above genres. (See below if you are interested in our launch of a Romance network.) We require a commitment of 40 episodes, which can be split over multiple seasons. We are producing a weekly serial: As such, each episode should end with some form of narrative cliffhanger or similar narrative device that makes the listener look forward to the next episode. If your series is a slow burn or introspective drama, we are not the studio for you. We are not interested in short stories, miniseries, or anthology series.
Our podcast series feature short episodes that pack a punch. Please do not submit if your series is designed around 60 minute episodes. We ideally would like to see episodes of 30 minutes (25-35 pages in standard screenplay format) or shorter.
Series are voiced with a human narrator, augmented by AI voice filtering that allows for full cast production. If you want an example of what this will sound like, check out our scifi podcast Thursday. We may include sound effects, but such inclusion is unlikely. Your work should stand on the power of its narrative story-telling and dialogue. We professionally edit, mix, and master every episode and include custom theme music and artwork.
We distribute across every major podcast player, app, and distribution network. To protect your retained video and television rights, we do not distribute to Youtube or any other video source.
We do not pay an advance but upon a share of advertising revenue. We pay quarterly with the revenue share based on download volume:

If you are interested, send an email to submissions@podcastalchemy.studio with your name and series title in the subject line. Please include the following in the body:
- The title of your series
- Your author name or pseudonym
- The genre of your series
- The logline of your series
- The longer elevator pitch (roughly a single paragraph) of your series
- The first three episodes (25-35 pages or fewer each) in standard screenplay format as a PDF
- Your author bio
- Any additional information you feel would be helpful in selling us on your series or you as a writer
We believe everyone has a story to tell and encourage under-represented and minority groups to submit.

Romance Network
In the future, we will be releasing a romance-focused podcast drama network. Due to distribution requirements at Apple and Spotify, we are not currently planning on releasing erotic or explicit content. However, we do have a subscription portal as part of our platform, and explicit and spicy romantic bonus content that is provided to age-verified subscribers for a fee is something we can discuss with you. If you are interested in taking part in this early launch, please reach out to us at submissions@podcastalchemy.studio with a query about your series. Please include:
- The title of your series
- You author name or pseudonym
- A one paragraph summary of your series concept and story
- If your series is passionate but stays within the guidelines of podcast distributors but you would like to include explicit and spicy content for subscribers as a paid bonus, please note that or any additional information.

Novelists
If you are a novelist and would like to have your novel produced as an audio drama serial, we are open to queries. Note that each chapter should end with some form of cliffhanger or narrative device that leaves the reader wanting to turn the page and continue reading. Please be aware that a podast production of your work will generally cover audio rights that you may want to use later for an audiobook contract, so do not query unless you understand you are potentially forfeiting audiobook rights.
Note that we require a minimum of 40 episodes. If your novel has fewer than 40 chapters, you must be open to either providing a multi-book series or splitting existing chapters into shorter ones.
If you are interested, send an email to submissions@podcastalchemy.studio with Query: [Your novel title] in the subject line. Include the following in the body of the email:
- The title of your series
- You author name or pseudonym
- A one paragraph summary of your novel’s concept and story
- If you would like to attach the novel, feel free, but it is not required.
